The PTS1 Series Twin Tank Softener is a system designed to provide a continuous supply of soft water for both homes and businesses. It uses two tanks that work together: when one tank is being used, the other is on standby. When the first tank needs to regenerate (a process that removes hard minerals from the water), the system automatically switches to the second tank, ensuring there is no interruption in the soft water supply. This design also serves as a backup in case of a sudden increase in water demand. The softening process works by passing hard water through a resin that attracts and removes the hard minerals. During regeneration, the system flushes the minerals out with a brine solution, preparing the tank to treat more water.
