About Product
A water softener operates through a process called ion exchange to remove hardness minerals, specifically calcium and magnesium, from the water supply. As raw water enters the single-tank system, it passes through a bed of negatively charged resin beads, which attract and trap the positively charged mineral ions. Simultaneously, these beads release harmless sodium or potassium ions into the water, effectively softening it. The integrated digital meter on top of the unit continuously monitors water usage and automatically triggers a regeneration cycle when the resin becomes saturated, flushing out the captured minerals with a brine solution to ensure a continuous supply of treated water.
