Urban Utilities is one of the largest water distributor-retailers in Australia, dedicated to providing essential water and sewerage services to communities across South East Queensland. We are proudly owned by our shareholders, the councils of Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, and Somerset, and are governed by a dedicated independent Board. Our Role in the Water Industry Since a significant reform on January 1, 2013, our role as a distributor-retailer has been shaped to efficiently serve our communities. We are responsible for delivering reliable water and sewerage services, working within the broader framework of the South East Queensland water industry. We are committed to operating with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We also have a deep commitment to the communities we serve.
