These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Waterlyst (“Waterlyst”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Waterlyst website, applications, and related services (together, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Waterlyst is a water-knowledge platform that brings together curated articles, peer-reviewed research, water-treatment products, a business directory, and educational quizzes. The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, accounts, systems, or networks;
• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service except as permitted by our robots directives or with our prior written consent;
• upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt or impair the Service;
• interfere with other users’ enjoyment of the Service, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

You represent that your User Content:

• is accurate and reflects your genuine, first-hand experience where it is a review;
• does not infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
• is not defamatory, misleading, abusive, obscene, or otherwise unlawful, and is not paid for or incentivized without disclosure.

We may review, moderate, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion, including content that violates these Terms, but we are not obligated to monitor it. Reviews reflect the views of their authors, not of Waterlyst.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality — including text, graphics, logos, the Waterlyst name and wordmark, software, and the curation and arrangement of content — are owned by Waterlyst or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Waterlyst publishes product listings and a business directory, and may link to third-party websites, marketplaces, and sellers. These listings and links are provided for convenience and information only.

Waterlyst does not sell products directly and is not a party to any transaction you enter into with a third party. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the accuracy of listings, the quality, safety, or legality of any product or service, or the conduct of any third party. Prices, availability, and specifications are set by third parties and may change without notice. Any dealings with third parties — including payment, delivery, warranties, and returns — are solely between you and that third party.

Content on Waterlyst, including articles, research summaries, and quizzes, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional engineering, scientific, medical, legal, regulatory, or financial advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions about water treatment, water quality, health, or any related matter.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is complete or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Waterlyst and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

In no event will our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service exceed the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Waterlyst and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law or third-party right.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts of Dubai, UAE will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply where you reside.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
