WaterSoft Inc. was founded in Ashland, Ohio, and incorporated in 1980 by brothers Jim and Bill Chandler, who had acquired the entire water treatment division of the F.E. Myers Pump Company. Built on a commitment to innovation, the company focused heavily on research and development, resulting in patented/proprietary products designed to solve tough water problems without costly chemicals. Key innovations included the Isobar control valves, the industry-leading Centuri & Sidewindr iron filters, the WATER SPRITE Water Filter, the PROVECTR Water Treatment System, and the SOFT’N FILTER system, which uniquely combines filtration and softening into one unit. After being purchased by Amtrol Inc. in 1988, the company eventually returned to its roots when Bill Chandler reacquired the WaterSoft division in June of 2008, moving production back to Ashland, Ohio. Today, WaterSoft remains dedicated to providing clean, safe water for both residential and commercial needs, with its current staff boasting over 150 years of combined water treatment experience. WaterSoft continues to evolve its product line, ensuring its commitment to innovation remains strong as it focuses on the always-evolving demand for superior water quality.
