Its main purpose is environmental protection by reliably removing water from the basin while leaving oil contamination behind. System Components & Features 1. Model 152 Submersible Pump This is a nonautomatic pump rated for 4/10 HP and 115 V. It is built for demanding applications with its core components (switch case, motor housing, and pump housing) constructed from durable cast iron. For superior corrosion resistance, the handle, hardware, and ID tag are made of stainless steel. 2. Oil Smart® Pump Switch (Controller) This is an industrial quality, UL508-listed piggyback switch featuring 304 stainless steel sensor probes. The probes are advanced enough to distinguish between oil and water. It manages pump operation: it signals the pump to run when it senses water and immediately turns the pump off when it senses oil or air. 3. Oil Smart® Pump Alarm Housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, this alarm warns of excessively high liquid levels. It provides an audible alarm and illuminates a red beacon for immediate visual warning. Two distinct indicator lights show the specific type of high-level event: a yellow light for high oil and a white light for high water. The panel includes dry contacts for each high-level indicator, allowing for remote signaling. The alarm unit comes with a 20 ′ power cord for easy connection to a 115 V outlet.
