How Our 5-Stage Filtration Process Works Each stage of our time-tested reverse osmosis design performs a specialized role to maximize water purity, clarity, and taste: Stage 1: Pre-Sediment Filtration — Traps coarse dirt, rust, silt, and pipe debris to protect downstream filters and maintain high water pressure. Stage 2: Activated Carbon Block — Extracts harsh municipal chlorine, chloramines, foul odors, and organic chemical additives. Stage 3: Secondary Pre-Filter Protection — Filters out micro-particulates and lingering VOCs before water reaches the RO membrane. Stage 4: High-Rejection RO Membrane — Forces water under pressure through a microscopic semipermeable membrane to eliminate up to 99% of dissolved solids (TDS), heavy metals (lead, arsenic), nitrates, and fluoride. Stage 5: Post-Carbon Polishing Filter — Imparts a final pass right before the water leaves the faucet, ensuring a smooth, crisp, and neutral taste.
