About this product

Shamrock’s 2026 Water Treatment Strategy In Central Florida, municipal water is often heavily treated with chloramines, while well water frequently carries a "rotten egg" (sulfur) odor. Shamrock addresses this by focusing on three specific tiers of treatment: 1. High-Efficiency Ion Exchange (Softening) Their water softeners are their most popular solution for Orlando’s "hard" aquifer water. Smart Metering: They use electronic, metered control valves. Unlike older systems that regenerate on a timer, these systems track your actual water usage and only regenerate when necessary, saving up to 30% on salt and water. Appliance Protection: By removing calcium and magnesium, these systems are marketed as a "shield" for your expensive tankless water heaters and high-end fixtures. 2. Specialized Whole-Home Filtration Shamrock offers targeted filtration for specific Florida contaminants that standard softeners can't touch: Carbon Filtration: Targets the "swimming pool" taste and smell by removing chlorine and chloramines. Platinum Aerators: Specifically designed for well-water users to oxidize and remove sulfur (hydrogen sulfide) and iron without the need for harsh chemicals like potassium permanganate. 3. High-Purity Drinking Water Reverse Osmosis (RO): For families who want "bottled-quality" water at the sink, Shamrock installs multi-stage RO systems that remove lead, nitrates, and 99% of dissolved solids. Why Choose Shamrock Over a Retail System? Licensed Accountability: Because they are primarily a plumbing and repiping company, they ensure your filtration system is installed with proper "bypass valves" and pressure regulators to prevent leaks. Warranty Support: Unlike DIY units, Shamrock provides a combined warranty on both the parts and the labor, which is critical given Florida's high-humidity environment that can corrode electrical components. Emergency Availability: As a 24/7 service provider, if your water softener develops a leak at 2:00 AM, they have on-call technicians to bypass the system and restore your water.
