About this product

Certified Installs provides professional water softener installation services typically completed by a single technician within a 2 to 3-hour timeframe. Systems are installed inline directly before the water heater on the hot water line—protecting the water heater from hard water buildup, extending its operational lifespan, and keeping cold drinking and irrigation water unsoftened. Every installation includes water hardness testing so the unit can be configured to the correct settings. Installation & Maintenance Best Practices: Pre-Installation Preparation: Homeowners replacing an existing unit should empty the brine tank beforehand to avoid needing a second technician, which can incur additional charges. Recommended Salt Type: Use salt pellets rather than normal rock salt to prevent "rock bridges"—structures formed when lower salt levels dissolve and leave undissolved salt suspended above the brine. Post-Installation Water Flushing: Initial "brown water" in the brine tank is a normal result of pipe sediment disturbed during setup and should simply be flushed until clear.
