This Water Softener operates by removing hardness minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, from the household water supply. The system utilizes a two-tank setup consisting of a fiberglass resin tank with an automatic digital control head and an adjacent grey brine tank filled with salt pellets. As hard water flows through the resin tank, a process called ion exchange replaces the hardening minerals with sodium ions, delivering soft water throughout the home. Periodically, the system initiates a regeneration cycle, drawing salt water from the brine tank to flush out the trapped minerals and refresh the resin beads for ongoing use.
