About this product

A water softener works by removing minerals like calcium and magnesium that cause water hardness through a process called ion exchange. Inside the tall tanks, hard water flows through a bed of specialized resin beads that are negatively charged. These beads attract and trap the positively charged hardness minerals while simultaneously releasing sodium ions into the water. Periodically, the system enters a regeneration cycle where a brine solution flushes the captured minerals off the resin, ensuring the water softener continues to provide soft water for the entire household effectively.
